No Bust Blackjack is the California version of the blackjack that is played around the world. The main differences between No Bust blackjack and regular blackjack are:
a)    Players do not automatically lose when their hand totals is more than 21 points.
b)    A bonus Ace plus a 10 valued card, on the initial deal, is a Natural.
c)    A Natural beats all other hands including non-natural 21s.

Similar to all California style games, No Bust blackjack is banked by a player/dealer and all participating players play against that player/dealer. All wagers receive action to the extent that player/dealer’s money covers.

Each player receives two initial cards face up. Player/dealer receives one card up and one card down. Players have the opportunity of taking additional cards in turn. Once everyone has drawn, player/dealer’s hand is exposed at which time the player/dealer draws. After the draw is completed, each player’s hand is compared to that of the player/dealer’s and the party with the better hand wins.

Action moves clockwise. Wagers will be settled from the position of Action Button. That position is determined by the player/dealer’s hole card. Player/dealer is always 0 and it is not counted as a position when determining the action. The following hole cards have the corresponding indicated values: Jack = 11, Queen = 12, King = 13 and Joker = 14.

The objective and strategy of this game is the same as of the regular blackjack. In no bust blackjack, player’s objective is to form a hand that is as close as possible to Natural or to 21 points and beat the player/dealer’s hand.

At Golden West Casino the game is played with an automatic shuffler. Each shoe is comprised of 5 standard decks of 52 cards for a total of 260 cards. In a manually shuffled shoe, six decks of cards are used for a total of 312 cards.
